SENIOR AZURE CLOUD ENGINEER

As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be a valuable member on vector's technical team that collaborates with the product owner, peer engineers, and architect to manage, configure, and support Windows Server OS and Roles running on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosted in Azure. Your primary responsibility will be production support, which will include some off-hour critical and/or emergency support, as required to support business continuity. This position can be from a remote location.

Responsibilities:

Manage, Configure, and Support:

  • Windows Server OS, Windows Roles (Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Authority, Update Services, and IIS), and Microsoft SQL Server

  • Azure Resources Including: Virtual Machines, Azure vNet, Availability Sets, Storage Accounts, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Load Balancer, NAT Gateway, Azure Front Door, Azure DNS, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Log Analytics, and Azure Management Groups and Subscriptions

  • Microsoft365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)

  • Azure DevOps and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using Azure CLI PowerShell, ARM Templates, and Bicep

  • Documentation to meet legal and regulatory compliance and audit requirements

Requirements:​
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing, configuring, and supporting Windows Server OS and Roles, Microsoft SQL Server, IaaS Azure Resources, Microsoft365, and Azure DevOps

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and address them before they escalate

  • Highly conscientious approach to tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes and attention to detail

  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, particularly when managing and supporting critical infrastructure

  • Able to be available and work during core hours 11 AM EST – 4:30 PM EST

  • Authorized to work in US
